What is the differnce between vision and mission?

As I see, we have blend both the terminologies so much so that sometimes its too confusing to understand what both actually are. Here is a small description I tried to come up with in order to explain Vision in comparison to Mission.
A vision for me seems like a blueprint which helps to see a more clear goal in a period of time. On the other hand, a mission inspires and help to maintain the course of the organization, but the vision is something more concrete and helps a lot to reach goals in a certain period of time.
In more simple terms, your mission is what you do every day and your vision is what the future looks like.
