I Live in Pakistan

A very common sentence we all hear: “Oh! you live in Pakistan”

Here is my reply to them:

I live in Pakistan,
Where Innocent has no right.

I live in Pakistan,
Where yardstick is not for the might.

I live in Pakistan,
Where poor has to fight every day for its right.

I live in Pakistan,
Where there is no light.

I live in Pakistan,
Where justice is just rupees away from the might.

I live in Pakistan,
Where my countrymen have to go out every day with a fear of not coming at night.

I live in Pakistan,
Where every day, there is a bomb and a drone strike.

I live in Pakistan,
Where I need to jump out of my bed due to the fear of operations which are going on at night.

I live in Pakistan,
Where uneducated has a belief of what he says is always right.

I live in Pakistan,
Where everyone has a dream of not living here seeing the quality of life.

It’s sad to see all this but,

I also live in Pakistan,
Where my soldiers live at the top of the mountains so that I and you can have a peaceful sleep at night.

I also live in Pakistan,
Where many of my countrymen’s have laid their lives to protect me & you from unright.

I also live in Pakistan,
Where minds are ready to shine.

I also live in Pakistan,
Where the beauty of mountains, deserts and seasons are like divine.

I also live in Pakistan,
Where there are people, who care for others more than their own lives.

Which is why I still have a belief,
A change is near, and there near a light…

We should all be proud of our country, it is us who have the fault, it’s not with the country. We are bestowed with one of the best lands in the world. Our faith, contribution & choices in our domains towards this soil will define our future.
