Year in Review: 2018

As we reach to the second half of December when everything feels festive and special and you get a break from your usual day-to-day routine life, it is the perfect time to reflect back on everything one has experienced, discovered and achieved during the last 12 months. I’ve been doing this exercise from the last couple of years. It’s a wonderful exercise, which always leaves me feeling gratitude — and, sometimes, relief — about all that is past, and hopeful for what is to come.

OK, let’s start.

Exploring Life as a Learner:

Life moves at a frightfully fast pace in our world today and one honestly has no time into thinking what has gone by. Its seem’s yesterday that I was writing a review for 2017 and today is almost 2019. The current year, I manage to dig myself deeply, develop new skills and most importantly I managed to accomplish my goals what I had set it up at the start of 2018.

2018 started with amazing news for me scoring 4.0 GPA in my Masters. Back in 2017, when I started my Masters, I knew it will never be easy for me to manage multiple things at one time especially living abroad alone. But I did it and I did it well thanks to Allah. Later down the year, I challenged myself further to complete the entire research masters in the same year, which by the grace of Allah I accomplished as well. Till date, it has been an amazing journey being a Master student at the University of Malaya. This could have not been possible if I would have not been lucky enough to have got some great teachers surrounding me, who pushed me beyond my limits and brought the best out of me.

The coming year, the plan is to continue the learning cycle and explore more research possibilities.

Making Bread & Honey:

This year, I & my business buddy “Humair” celebrated the 8th great years of our success at CB and InshAllah will continue to celebrate many more years to come. In 2019, our efforts will be to continue with the same passion, with a lot more energy and will need to explore new grounds for future aspects.

Paying Back:

Back in 2017, I started Interns.pk. In 2018, the site has further excelled and is managing to get the attraction for 250K+ students. In the same year, I started a new chapter at INTERNS called an INTERNS PROGRAM. The program greatly benefited students who wanted to challenge themselves and explore new grounds while studying. The best part was that it managed to help 1000+ students. The coming year the aim is to make the number 10 time more and increase my personal impact factor.

The year ahead:

Every new day brings with it the opportunity for reflection of where we are and where we want to be. With the start of every new year, we must take stock of the year behind us and set down the bigger goals we want to work towards.

  • As always ‘Learning’ is going to be a big part of 2019 as well.
  • Work on personal & family Health and continuously monitor and improve.
  • Last year due to studies, I had to put a full stop for traveling. This year I want to travel more. As for me, travel bring power and love back to life.
  • The coming year will be focusing completely at INTERNS and will be working on new ways in contributing to the life of others.
  • In 2018, its been on and off here at my personal blog. This year I am to share my thoughts more actively through this blog.
Big Thank you:

My family continues to be a great source of strength and support in my life and I don’t think I could have gotten as far as I have without them. Thank you!

I wish you a Happy New Year.
